License Renewal Requirements
15 hours of Renewal Education is Now Required for MD Agents
Residential
3 hrs Legal Update; 1.5 hrs Fair Housing; 3 hrs Ethics and 7.5 hrs of electives
Commercial (Solely)
3 hrs Legal Update; 3 hrs Ethics and 9 hrs of electives
Licensees with Graduate Degree in law or Real Estate
3 hrs Legal Update; 3 hrs Maryland Ethics and 1.5 hrs Fair Housing - Residential
3 hrs Legal Update; 3 hrs Maryland Ethics and 1.5 hrs Elective - Solely Commercial
(If audited must supply documentation of graduate degree from an accredited college or university)
CE Credit Reciprocity Info:
Are you also licensed in VA, WV or PA?
You may use your MD CE Credits for renewing those licenses as follows:
VA – Will accept up to 8 hours of MD Credits applied only to the “Real Estate Related” continuing education category. You must submit an original or notarized copy of your certificates.
WV –Will accept up to 7 hours of any MD credit by the West Virginia Real Estate Commission.
PA – Will accept MD CE credits for a PA recipocal license only. You must have original certificates for PA
